Avicta Duo COT202 is a restricted-use nematicide/insecticide designed as a seed treatment to protect cotton seedlings from early-season nematode and insect damage. It contains two active ingredients: Abamectin (11.2%) and Thiamethoxam (28.0%). This product is specifically for use in Syngenta-certified seed treatment facilities and only in seed treatment equipment with closed transfer and application systems. It is not permitted for use in hopper boxes, planter boxes, or other farmer-applied applications. The product is highly toxic and carries a warning for acute inhalation toxicity. Handling requires specific personal protective equipment (PPE), including chemical-resistant clothing, gloves (barrier laminate, butyl rubber, nitrile, neoprene, or Viton), and respiratory protection (NIOSH-approved particulate filtering facepiece or elastomeric respirator depending on the task). Users must follow strict decontamination procedures and ensure treated seed is visually identifiable from untreated seed. The label includes specific rotational crop restrictions and guidelines for immediate replanting following crop failure.
